Wedding Flower Weekend

This weekend revolved around wedding flowers. Luckily, it just so happens that I love both flowers and weddings! Bella Flora had a large wedding on Saturday so we began work on Thursday and ended around 5:00 yesterday. A couple of years ago Kelly and her husband Berry built the flower shop in their back yard. It's a great space to make a mess and create beautiful arrangements. It's a place I love to be. Kelly's sister Kasey has been helping us with the last couple of weddings and we've even convinced Holly that she too would have fun if she helped. Let's just say we have a fun time and as the hours roll into the night we can't stop laughing!
Unfortunately this weekend's bride chose a questionable color scheme and decor...but her flowers were beautiful :) That's one of Kelly's strong points in flower design. She will do what the bride wants (of course!) but she does it with a natural, artistic twist that will make the most bizzare idea (peacock feathers...that wedding deserves its own post...) into a gorgeous piece of art.

As for the rest of the weekend...I was wiped out! After being on my feet all day yesterday, Holly and I treated ourselves to pedicures & manicures and then dinner at one of our favorite italian cafes Bella Bella where we dined al fresco and enjoyed the lingering summer daylight hours. Today was furiture painting day! Albeit I started at 5:30 this evening, I still managed to make some progress. I have dresser and desk that are in need of some new color. I keep telling myself that my house will look more put together once those pieces are in their correct places. Then I can accessorize and finally pull my little home together. Hopefully, that dream will come true this week....hopefully.
