Buenos Dias! We arrived safe and sound to U.S. soil yesterday afternoon from Cuba. We had the most blessed trip I could have imagined. I'm playing hookie today from work to recoup from our 2:00am Tallahassee arrival and trying to catch up on the life I left for 10 glorious days in paradise. I've said several times since since yesterday that "I wish I was still in Cuba"!
David, the best Team Leader ever, had charged us with trying to think of just one sentence that encompassed our individual journey to Cuba. After a quick thought here's what I would say if someone asked me to sum up my experience in one sentence:
It was simply beautiful.
Of course, I have so much to say about everything and more pictures than flies in Cuba but those posts will come as I find the time. For now I'm decompressing all that I took in. And I did fall off a horse {am completely ok though}...but more on that later!
Thank you for all your many prayers and comments as our mission team was in Cuba. God was truly watching over us as we were soaking in the beauty of His creation.
p.s. Also, wanted to wish Sister a fabulous birthday {last Tuesday - oops!}! However, she did get a call of birthday wishes all the way from Havana on her actual day.
