This morning I had the pleasure to hear world renown interior designer Bunny Williams speak at the Thomasville Antique Show's morning lecture. I have always admired Bunny's style and gracious decorating, not to mention her marvy name, so I was thrilled to hear she'd be coming to speak so close to home. I attended the lecture and antique show by myself and was by far the youngest person there! Above are the two books that Bunny spoke on with humor, knowledge, and love of design. After I had my book signed I took a quick scan of the antique show.
So many beautiful things. The jewelry was
to die for and Mom should be proud because I brought my friend will - will power - along with me and didn't even try on a single antique bauble!
I spent the rest of my day with sister and Sally Kate and it was just splendid. Happy weekend to all~
this is bunny's conservatory in her new england home in which she had the affair with - in college we were asked to draw several vignettes of our interpretations of beautiful spaces, using new colors/ materials, and it just so happened that I chose the above picture as one of mine. I love love love this room!

these huge barrels of forsythia framed the entrance into the antique show
the lecture room after the show...they really transformed the room into a beautiful setting

So much fun, Mary! Sounds awesome! I'm glad to hear you brought the average age down a decade or two. :) Did she remind you of Bunny from Sex in the City? That's all I can think of when I think of a Bunny.
Love your drawing!! You are super talented!
Sassy, this was one of my fave posts of yours ... maybe ever. Mostly because I appreciate good ole Bunny just as much as you. You did ask her if we could throw a party in that room in the New England house, right?? Maybe the Green House Design (non-tree hug) launch party ;)
xo, Lane
p.s. - can you please make a print of that room (your design)? I want one!
MC- I am so impressed with your beautiful drawing!
