Social Graces

Mom spent all of last week with me in Birmingham and we had a fabulous time! At the end of the week Daddy joined us and we had a wonderful weekend of family time and homemade meals. While mom was here we had the most fun...eating at delicious places, breakfast pastries at Continental bakery, fresh garden meals, a peach pie {or two!}, going to see the musical Legally Blonde - which was absolutely hilarious, and most of all spending time together. She also did things around our house which was extra nice. I'm so thankful. When Dad arrived for the weekend the men went into major yard mode and made it all nice and spiffy for upcoming houseguests this weekend {!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!}.

To reward everyone for all their hard work David made a delicious pasta dinner and we had a garden salad and crostinis with homemade pesto and fresh from our vines, juicy red tomatoes. David and I had planted lots of things this season and we are enjoying the harvest. I am so proud of how everything turned out.

Thanks again Mom and Daddy for spending the week and weekend with us. We loved having you here! Cheers to all we accomplished~
