waiting baby & wedding bells

What more could you ask for on a sunny Saturday than a beautiful baby shower and an amazing wedding in a historic waterfront city?! My day started off attending Sidney's lovely brunch in honor of the upcoming arrival of her sweet baby girl, Avery Elizabeth. It was a shower dressed to the nines in all things girly and beautiful. And we're so excited that Sally Kate will have a girl friend her age - she and Avery will each have their pick of a handful of handsome older boys :)
I could only stay long enough for a mimosa, a quick taste of the food, and a few snapshots of my favorite details and then it was off to St. Augustine for a late afternoon wedding!

My friend Erin and I drove straight to the church and were seated just in the nick of time as the wedding bells rang. We attended the wedding of our sorority sister Lindsey and her groom Drew. The wedding and all that followed were fun, educating {both bride and groom are teachers}, and a hands down good time. My favorite part was taking a trolley tour en route to the reception site. In case you didn't know, everything in St. Augustine is the oldest. Oldest house, oldest street, oldest palm tree...you get the picture...and the tour guides won't let you forget it! It's always a pleasure to see friends that I don't get to see often enough. After dinner we hit the dance floor and never left. Lindsey and Drew looked so happy and they threw one heck of a good party!

Two fabulous parties in one day and I was complete...and beat!

my favorite detail...silver baby cups hung from the chandelier by pink ribbons

with mom-to-be sidney

gift table decorated with nursery fabric and motifs

my gift to avery elizabeth campbell {monogrammed diaper covers!}

brunch spread

the cake shop...need I say more?

both sets of sisters were there and laura

Off to St. Augustine...

the ceremony was at memorial presbyterian church commissioned by henry flagler in the late 1800s...it was gorgeous

trolley time

erin and me ready to sightsee

the reception was held at the white room and it started off with a rooftop cocktail hour

my table and my favorite detail of the wedding...our table cards were old st. augustine postcards from the collection of the late mr. upchuch, the groom's father.

bridesmaid bouquets used to decorate the bar at the reception

a table of fabulous adpis

pamela, mc, jean, and jess

with the beautiful bride

the streamers were supposed to go on the bride and groom...not us.

congratulations mr. and mrs. upchurch!

meanwhile back at the hotel...fun with the welcome bag

no trip to st. augustine is complete without a taste of water from the fountain of youth!
