a june wedding

Three weeks ago we spent the weekend celebrating our sweet friends Nick and Amanda at their fabulous weekend of wedding festivities! Amanda has a huge family and they like to party! I love getting together with all of David's friends and their significant others, who have now become my friends too. It seems like we've been getting together at a lot of weddings lately...only a few more to go!

the rehearsal was followed by a fun rehearsal dinner in jax beach overlooking the atlantic

robbie and anna...who just moved to tallahassee from dc!

then the real fun began with a band and dancing on the terrace under the lights

the ceremony was at the st. john cathedral in downtown jacksonville. it was beautiful.
then we headed to the west side of the st. john's river for the amazing reception at the cummer museum of art and gardens
everything was decorated so bright and beautiful...very garden like...

the scale of justice...both the bride and groom are lawyers.
the southern low country boil was served stylishly on the scale

I loved all the details...

we had a lovely cocktail hour in the gardens overlooking the river. then we headed inside for a delicious seated southern meal and ended the night back outside under the tent dancing the night away!

the boxwood lined bar was my favorite of all the details. so chic. and I loved all the bright floral colors used in the barware.

and I was so excited to see the "my drap" cocktail napkins being featured. we sell them at chickadee and they were just featured in this month's instyle and traditional home. they come on a roll and you tear them off...100% cotton and can be washed and reused up to seven times. I told everyone that byline all night long!

the gardens were exquisite and the agapanthus were in full bloom

there were two sets of rectangular dining tables stretching the length of the room with this summer garden display of flowers stretching from end to end - so beautiful!! also, they had a live oak motif that was used throughout their invitation suite and the wedding details. amanda's brother had taken a beautiful picture of an oak canopy road that was enlarged on a canvas the size of one of the walls of the banquet room. it was stunning.

the next morning we joined everyone again for a wonderful brunch at river city brewing company. I loved these cheerful freesia arrangements...and especially how they used pineapple slices in the vase.
the guys
their better halves :)
mike and courtney - congratulations on your new house since we last saw you!!
while in jacksonville we stayed with good friends meghann, jamie and their sweet little madalyn. we wish we could've spent more time with them. on saturday morning of the wedding day we went to metro dinner in san marco - yum!

madalyn is the happiest baby!
this was her saturday afternoon...enjoying the refreshing water in her new eyelet sun hat we brought her!

Wishing Nick and Amanda many blessings in their marriage! We were so thrilled to be a part of your wedding! cheers~

Can you technically call yourself a "bride" if you've been married for over a year? I'd hate for Emily Post to report MSG to the web administrator.
