happenings

May is flying by!!

It's been a busy month of graduations, birthdays, and weddings. Cheers to the month of May and here's looking forward to June ~

we celebrated caroline's graduation from alabama with a beautiful crimson and houndstooth soiree at goodwood

the decor was fabulous! not to mention caroline's cute grandfather in his bear bryant hat

we celebrated the critter's 2nd birthday with a safari themed party with all their nearest and dearest

mum's the word

Last weekend I went with Sister and Sally Kate to the Tallahassee Ballet's production of Cinderella. After the show Sister helped host the Petite Patrons party for Sally Kate and friends. It was so princess-y and fun for all the sweet little girls coming to the ballet!

On Sunday, I had a wonderful Mother's Day celebrating with both my mom, my soon-to-be-mother-in, and Mom Sister! We had a great seafood lunch and a bbq that night to toast to the best moms ever. Better late than never ~ Happy Mother's Day!

In other news the wedding is one month away from tomorrow!! There is so much going on right now it's not even funny...but I'm enjoying every minute of it. This weekend is going to fly by with multiple activities and celebrations and then I'll be in DC for a week for some really special events. Time flies when you're having fun - and fun we're having indeed!

shower preview

This blog has felt so naked without any pictures from the shower last weekend. Photographer to the rescue! Our sweet friend (who just so happens to be a professional photographer) is taking pictures for all the pre-wedding festivities from here on out and she started with the most recent shower. She graciously sent me a few to tie me over - thank goodness! The backdrop was Lake Jackson and it was a beautiful cloudless day! I particularly liked the abundance of fresh flowers...many cut straight from the garden ~ magnifique!

There were a flurry of events this past weekend! Plus Mom and Dad were in town which is always a treat.

On Friday, Laura Lee hosted a Toast to Will and Kate. It was a soiree fit for royals...

On Saturday, I had my final bridal shower! It was just lovely and I enjoyed telling the guests that their invitations were mailed out that morning.

Sally Kate also made her stage debut at her first dance recital! It was so precious. She and sister have been taking a Mommy and Me class and all their hardwork paid off.

On Sunday, David and I were invited to brunch with some dear friends. We had a champagne toast for the upcoming wedding and they also presented us with our wedding present which I love.

Then, we headed to celebrate Avery's 2nd birthday!
