We have had an eventful week getting into the Christmas spirit! On Sunday night we attended a Candlelight Service full of beautiful music and praise to the
reason for the season, Jesus.
We have been very busy at Chickadee the last couple of weeks and are in the full swings of frantic holiday shoppers and
a lot of gift wrapping. On Tuesday, we had our first Chickadee Christmas party and it was so much fun. I work with such enjoyable ladies and we had a wonderful evening playing Dirty Santa, exchanging/fighting over gifts from the store, and delicious shrimp creole, cocktails and dessert!
On Wednesday night, I surprised David with a trip to the historic Alabama Theatre to see the movie
Elf - which is hands down our favorite holiday movie. The theatre plays several popular Christmas movies throughout the month of December. They start the production with a large pipe organ and sing-along Christmas song medley for the audience. We had such a fun time. It's been so nice to experience some of the Christmas traditions of Birmingham, but we are itching to drive home to Tallahassee. One and a half more days... :)
