Those were the words to my first father/daughter dance {well the first one I remember at least} - it was my first dance recital in 1989. I've always been a daddy's girl and I will forever remain one. In elementary school he would come and eat lunch with me in the cafeteria and would do math problems with my classmates - he was a hit at the table! Throughout middle and high school he would check me out of school and take me out to lunch.
Growing up my dad was such a role model in faith and family and I am so grateful. He's quick to help and always a hard worker. Just today he volunteered to go with me to pick hydrangeas out of the garden. It's these times that I treasure the most. He's constantly teaching and I'm constantly trying to retain all the information and most importantly apply it to my life. I knew what a hypotenuse was at a young age and today I learned there are codes in landscaping site plans. He never ceases to amaze me. Love you daddy!
I'd also like to recognize my brother-in-law Marcus on his first Father's Day. Thank you for loving Sally Kate and Holly like you do. Your face lights up when you see your baby girl or hear her name and it's wonderful to see.
Both of you are blessings in my life.
happy father's day!
