ain't nothing but an easter party!

We decided to stay in Alabama for Easter this year so we invited some of David's law school friends over for an Easter Lunch. It made me spring into action to try to make our new house decent. For the most part things were pretty put together - it took most of Saturday night to re-rearrange the unpacked boxes in the bedrooms. Slowly making progress on the home front!

at first I thought it would be nice for us all to sit in the dining room together to eat but the masters was on in the other room...I lost that one.

we moved on to buffet style instead...david made a delicious pasta and we got to debut our italian family pasta bowl

delicious mint tea with simple syrup was served

and we made bird's nest desserts to complete the meal! we had them last year at the campbell's and I just loved the idea. I added some delicious lemon shortbread cookies from chickadee to add a new flair.
