today is the day

Today I turned 25 painstakingly years old. But I'm ok with that {now}, in fact I think it will actually be better than OK. Despite the age...the celebration part of my birthday is in full swing and I'm eager to participate. So, happy birthday to moi!

I've had the best day. It was a beautifully clear and very chilly day in Tallahassee. Typically I would have today off from work, but due to a big project's installation this week I will be able to choose another day this month as my "birthday holiday".

Yesterday I was able to celebrate my birthday Ocala style with my family. We went to lunch and then came home and opened presents and ate delicious homemade Florida orange cake. There is nothing I like more than to be with my family on my birthday {we missed you though Michael!}.

Thank you for all my sweet birthday wishes and for all the reassurance that I will survive the big 2-5!

Sheesh. I need to find out how in the heck to be closer to Kat's cakes come January 4th. Although, I think I can blame the 5 lb holiday gain on her sour cream pound cake from heaven ...

HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY TO YOU! Can't wait to celebrate in Southern style ... soon & very soon!
