mini ruffle beach weekend

We spent a great weekend at Big's Other House in St. George Island with the Gunters and the Edenfields! As I uploaded the pictures to this post I noticed that mostly all of them were of Sally Kate and friends. But let me assure you that even though there is a lack of adult pictures we had one heck of a fun time!

we had a delicious fish fry on saturday night which include fresh grouper and snapper from the gulf, oysters collected by jake and cara that afternoon, salad, and twice baked potato casserole. talk about a meal that is fresh from the source...and the cheapest florida seafood you'll find anywhere. we ended our evening with a perfect key lime pie made by lane...luckily we also had some left over for breakfast the next day!

I went by one of my finished projects as well while we were on the island. I loved this image of the paint cans and crab traps sitting outside up against the house - a total renovation of this family's beach house was not going to stop them from their water activities.
