Moving

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of fun! I will post pictures later, as I am writing this illegal style at work. I will try to keep each event to a minimum of details (very hard for me!) but as you will read this is my sort of catch up blog.

First things first...I moved!! I recently sent a e-mail to a group of my college girl friends with
I moving... in the subject line and then the body of the e-mail simply said ...to another cute historic house down the road! Haha. I got quite a few replies saying that was a mean trick I played. You see, my close friends from school now live all over the eastern United States and they are all trying to figure out why I am still living in Tallahassee and have not moved to one of their fabulous big cities (ie. Tampa, Washington D.C., Atlanta...)! However this time their collaborative response was why I was moving into another house after not even a year in my last. My response was simple and very matter-of-fact: I'm 23, because I can, and how could I pass on this opportunity to move from one stylish 1940s house to another?! I thought there was no better a reason to move. To move, pack all of my stuff, have dad and a hired friend's husband do the lifting, pack 2 trucks times 2 loads-- all for the love of moving to a cute brick house. Sounds very practical to me ;)

To make things even better, at 3:00pm on move-in day I left the scene and flew to Memphis, Tennessee! But mom and dad so graciously unpacked and placed (just to jokingly aggravate me) things around my house so that upon my arrival from my trip my home would look more like a home than how I left it...like a tornado went through the living room. Thanks! Now, it has been 2 weeks since the move and things are finally coming together. I will gladly show you the exterior soon but the interior is not worthy to be shown at the moment.

Moving on...I went to Nashville by way of Memphis to attend the blessed nuptials of Mr. and Mrs. Brandt Waggoner's :) I met both Jill and Brandt through Heather when she and Jill were college roommates. We've been friends ever since and I was delighted to be invited and attend the summer weekend of their wedding festivities. The wedding was beautiful, elegant, and fabulous and the reception was the same times 10! It was so much fun and I must say those Baptists can get down on the dance floor. The weekend also brought lots of quality time with two of my favorite people...Heather Lane and Paul. Back in Memphis, I was able to fly out on that Monday morning instead of Sunday night so I was extended and invitation to the University Club of Memphis to have dinner with their newest and coolest members. My Tennessee weekends are always treasured and it's always the saddest as I leave the Bruces...with Starbucks in one hand and an extra carry on bag that I always manage to somehow bring home at the end of each trip.
