1955 easter baby

Today was a great day! I'm home in Ocala surrounded by family - living the life. So far, the best part of being home today was being here to celebrate dad's birthday! He was born on Easter Sunday back in the day and this time of year has been special ever since. We all went out to our favorite diner for a late morning breakfast and then had a delicious home cooked birthday supper at our home this evening. My grandparents came over and we enjoyed lasagna and German chocolate cake {from scratch by Kat!} - dad's favorite. I'm pretty sure mom makes this meal for dad every year...her cooking, after all, is what won over his stomach...I mean heart. My dad is such an incredible guy - a loving husband and father, a man after God's own heart, intelligent, funny...the list could go on and on. I'm so happy we could all be together on this Good Friday.
