tres bebe

My sad attempt at Spanish. I would rather the title of this post be tres leches - sounds better, tastes better. On Tuesday of this past week, or in keeping with the theme here Cinco de Mayo, Rian and I had own on fiesta in her hospital room! I picked up On the Border and we dined on chips and salsa and other festive food while sitting across from one another at her rolling tray table. I ended up spending the night with Rian that night after seeing her dear husband Chris walk in the room zombie-like to check in on her (no offense Chris, it wasn't that bad but you did look exhausted!). I came back later that night for our slumber party and we had a divine time. Bed time is early at the hospital and the nurses do not come in at all throughout the night. However, I did have to warn Rian that if she needed me at all to not be afraid to scream my name...which would be the only way I would be able to respond to a cry for help. It seems as if Rian did have to get up a million times in the middle of the night but did not need me - which I had to confirm that she didn't try to wake me and I just couldn't remember :)

The Meadows triplets will be entering this world next Wedneday, May 13th and I am thrilled. I'm excited to share that Chris has started a new blog: Behind the Three Point Line - musings of a soon to be dad of three. I just love it! He's given a sneak peek of the nursery but I can't wait for him to share the completed project. Of course, I will be doing a feature on it as well! I've been helping Rian and Chris bring their Palm Beach Chic (gender neutral as possible, sorry Reese) from early on and it is just absolutely fab-u-lous.

So to tres bebe and tres leches~here's to celebrating friends, family, and food, always.

You're are such a good friend Mary! How is Rian feeling? I honestly cannot imagine what it must be like to be a few days away from giving birth to triplets!
