My schedule allows me to volunteer for evening special events and on the weekends. So last week my new friend Michelle {director of volunteers, etc.} called and asked if I would like to volunteer at the House & Senate Reunion Reception and Dinner and do some flower arrangements for the event. Well of course! I joked that I was there representing my great-great-grandfather Louis Snavely Light who was a legislator from Marion County back in the early 1900s and walked these halls. It was my pleasure, ol' Facts and Figures.
Tuesday was the event and the flowers were beautiful. I only wished I could've stayed longer but a sore throat was causing me pain to even open my mouth. Catering was by M.A.D. About Food and I do wish I had partaken. They have a little cafe in a local pharmacy that sister and I used to go to weekly when I was in school {you know, when I had the good life!}. Anywho, it's delish!
Here are some pictures from the dinner. Enjoy!
{p.s. Bon voyage to Kristen and Jason as they leave today for their adventure on the AT! Be sure to follow them on their journey through their new blog. They are a hoot! Safe travels K & J and Happy 1st wedding Anniversary!!
