state of the state

As some of you Floridians may know, Governor Charlie Crist gave his fourth and final State of the State address this past Tuesday. Afterwards, family, friends, public leaders and press gathered for a beautiful sit down dinner at the Governor's Mansion. They were greeted with beautifully set tables with lush "Florida" centerpieces, fine china, and handwritten place cards by...yours truly! I was able to help set-up for the dinner on Tuesday but unfortunately didn't get to stay for the main event. However, David attended and had the photographer be sure to take some pictures of event so I could share them with all of you.

The place cards were tiny {only 3"wide x 3/4" tall} with an embossed gold State Seal so some of them were challenging to write both title and name.

Stacy was the photographer to whom I give the following photo credits to. David raves of her photography skills and had many a discussion with her leading up to the final days of purchasing my new camera. He is quite the consumer reporter. She has a fabulous business of her own, besides being one of the official photographers for the Governor. Visit her website here.

Thanks Stacy for the fabulous pictures and David for offering his wonderfully talented girlfriend's handwriting - and you're welcome, state of Florida!

{p.s. Thank you to Heather Lane for letting me copy her handwriting in high school :)}
