the wizard will see you now! {from wicked}

note: this post has only food pictures, no human pictures :)

The JLT Whale of a Sale came and went as fast as the month of February! Lane posted some fun pics of the Preview Party event that we attended. On Saturday I worked a bagging shift. Wow...did people buy a lot of junk but, I did manage to snag a few treasures the night before!

Worked has picked up drastically {yay!} so the days of blogging at work have been hard to find.

We have started a neighborhood supper club + the Edenfield's! We've had two and they've been fun and delicious! We all bring something so the responsibility is not all on one person. This weekend our SC will be celebrating the Oscars and Marcus's birthday!! We will have two more SC birthdays to celebrate this month too!

I went on a fun and much needed trip to see Wicked with Pamela in Tampa this weekend. En route I stopped to have lunch with M & D at a new restaurant in town - Bakers and Cooks. It.was.divine. First the concept: originally a gourmet kitchen shop and kitchen for cooking classes...now the "test kitchen" has been transformed into the restaurant. So, the chefs cook right in front of you - your food made to order. Just how I like it! M & D have been raving about this place and the chefs knew I was "the daughter passing thru from Tallahassee". During the entire meal I thought how much David would love this place and how we would be recreating all of the menu items we had watched them create this week for supper. Now, I think pictures will best describe the yumminess that proceeded...

{note #2: pictures from lunch were taken with my old camera because I left my new one at my parent's house...I was so bummed!}

watching my bread pudding french toast sizzle on the grill

we all split the mac n' cheese with white truffle oil...

the finished product...to.die.for....topped with a sauteed mixture of bread crumbs, butter, and bacon

mom's crabcake stack

dad's loaded burger...with cheese, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, sweet banana peppers, and arugula. {I was almost tempted to try it}

bread pudding french toast with blackberries...need I say more?!

pamela shares my love for all things bread pudding so I brought her some

After a lunch that should only be eaten once a month I headed to Tampa. I met Cori, Megan, and Pamela for a pre-theatre meal at Ceviche in Hyde Park. Oh wow, it was good! I have always wanted to eat here and so I was quite happy and quite satisfied with thrilling Latin flavors.

their famous sangria was flowing...
{ours was a mix of 1/2 red and 1/2 champagne sangria!}

it's mostly tapas...so here's a baked goat cheese we split...

and my portobello relleno...stuffed with spinach, shallots, manchego cheese drizzled with sherry

But perhaps my most favorite part of the meal was the cilantro pesto dipping oil for the warm bread. After a delicious meal we headed off to the theatre to see Wicked where Pamela and I sand our little hearts out! That my friends made my heart content.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and hope that this first week of March brings you warmer weather and signs of Spring!
